Early Modern and Contemporary History of Sopron and its Surroundings

The museum’s permanent historical exhibition in the Storno House presents the history of the city of Sopron and the former county of Sopron from the time of the Reformation to the 1989’s Pan-European Picnic. In addition to the fate-changing events of the city, the everyday world is prominently displayed, so visitors can learn about the lifestyle, clothing and the state of culture typical of each era. The exhibited guild memorabilia, clothing items, furniture, paintings and weapons are particularly valuable and spectacular.
