Town Residencies in the 17th-19th centuries

The walls of the Museum Quarter provided homes to the citizens of Sopron for centuries, from the Middle Ages until recently. In our exhibition, interiors of the 17-19th centuries were reconstructed that could have existed in these rooms - in fact, some of them did exist right here. Walking through the ten elaborately furnished rooms, visitors can feel themselves in the milieu in which well-to-do citizens lived their daily lives for 300 years. The visit is varied by historical guides, costume films, gastronomic-history screenings, clothing reconstructions and wearable costumes. Please, come inside, feel at home!
