For individual visitors

Plan your visit

The exhibition halls of the Sopron Museum offer visitors several days of fun, but the depth to which you want to explore the wonders here is up to you.
The pace is entirely up to you: forms available at the ticket office (Museum Quarter, Lenck Villa) will help you find your way around the building and will guide you through the story that will take you through the exhibition. In the Museum Quarter and the Fire Tower, free downloadable apps are online guides - worth downloading before your walk through the museum (information at the ticket desks).

If you're interested in how past, present and future meet, we recommend the Museum Quarter's magnificent complex of buildings!
Located in the heart of downtown Sopron, modernised in 2023, we have more than 10 exhibitions on display.
You can buy tickets per exhibition or in ticket combinations. You can find out more about them in advance on our website.

Just a few metres away, you can discover the mining history of Sopron and its surroundings in the Central Mining Museum. If you like experiential places, this is the place to be, as you can sit in the chandelier and try out our working models in a truly interactive exhibition.

The Tower of Fire, the symbol of Sopron, is also waiting for you, with all its 119 steps, which you can climb to enjoy a fantastic panorama of the most faithful city.

And the park of the Lenck Villa offers a magical atmosphere in all seasons. The building is a masterpiece. Civic life and crafts in Sopron at the end of the 19th century. The genre of the exhibition is ethnographic, but it is quite different from the usual. It tells the story of where and how the worlds of the craftsman and the urban bourgeois meet.

The Apothecary Museum and the Baker's House each offer a glimpse into the world of an old craft, while the József Horváth Collection in Sopron is a permanent exhibition of the artist's finest paintings.

We try to offer thematic guided tours in most of our exhibition venues, and you can find out about the dates and times on our website and social media.
