The location
The period pharmacies have a special atmosphere with their stunning interiors, fine furniture and objects. The Apothecary House in Sopron was a pharmacy from the middle of the 17th century (from 1696 it was known as the "Angel Apothecary"). The exhibition's cupboards and beautiful pots and pans in the old medicine room date from the 19th century. Visitors will be able to see old tools of medicine-making, folk remedies and artefacts. Adam Gensel, a polyhistor with a rice straw wig, is seen as a pioneer of modern medical meteorology. Also of particular beauty are the medical and pharmaceutical book rarities from the 16th and 17th centuries.
