Gallery

The temporary exhibition space of the Museum of Sopron mainly hosts contemporary fine art exhibitions. The intimate atmosphere of the easily accessible area also makes it suitable for serving as a home for chamber exhibitions. The precious artefact of the Gallery set up next to the wall is the oldest wine press in Sopron, dating from 1720. This is our special treasure, which can also be interpreted as a symbol of the city’s role in Hungarian wine culture.
