The exhibition Sopron and the Crown, located on the first floor of the Tábornok House, sheds light on the national importance and history-shaping role of our city in the previous centuries. The direct connection between the Holy Crown and Sopron goes back more than 500 years. During its history, the city hosted our main national relic for four times. The history of Sopron and the crown intertwined several times due to the coronation ceremonies, the possession of the insignia, and the disputes over the succession to the throne.
